Upcoming Books

The last story in the Dr. Hippo Series about common infectious illnesses is coming soon: The Moose with Loose Poops is about a little moose with gastroenteritis (vomiting and diarrhea) whose special camping trip has to be postponed because he is sick. The book will be accompanied by Getting through Gastroenteritis, a Parent Guide in which common questions are answered, suggestions are made for taking care of a sick child at home, and advice is given about when to call or visit the pediatrician. After The Moose with Loose Poops is released, Dr. Cowan will move on to writing stories about other medical and developmental topics important to young children. Her next story will be about childhood obesity.
